1. The latest software update to the DSG has solved most of the jerking issues. The gearbox now holds gear a little longer and also shifts to 1st gear in very slow crawling traffic to avoid clutch slip as well. This is definitely a good improvement. I have personally experienced this in my Polo GT TSi. Therefore the DSG gearbox is commonly used by the Volkswagen Group and is used by other brands such as Audi, SEAT & Skoda. We will discuss the most common problems people experience with their DSG gearboxes, and how to solve them.
The Superb is packed with electrics and electronics, other areas that often give trouble in today's cars, so check all systems and make sure everything is working as it should. SMITHY SAYS. Generally a sound choice, but be wary of DSG gearbox, which is a known problem area on VW products. Skoda Superb - 2009-2010 Price new: $42,990 to $56,990
It also has a service requirement of 40,000 miles. Generally reliable. DQ250 is a six speed transverse DSG with a wet clutch pack. The gearbox code in the diagnostic log shows 02E and or 0D9. This also has a service requirement of 40,000 miles and a torque capacity 350Nm. Fitted to 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines.
Despite the complexity, cost & lack of reliability, manufacturers stay loyal to the dual-clutch AT by launching new models with this gearbox. VW-Skoda have struggled with the reliability of their dual-clutch ATs in India, so has Ford, so have Hyundai-Kia. The trouble is, when they work, dual-clutch ATs are darn good, fast & smooth.

I have Octavia (A7) 1.4 TSI with 7-speed DSG, and I'm very pleased with this gearbox. For most of the time, gearbox is silky smooth and responsive, and only sometimes some jerkiness occur while maneouverng on parking lot. Also tried new Superb 2.0 TDI with 6-speed DSG, and, to be honest, I didn't felt much difference.
